What a wonderful weekend. It all started with the Steveston Dragonboat Festival when I drove down to cheer on paddlers. Steveston festival was one of the last festivals of the year. Everyone was in good spirit during racing and afterwards. The setting was more recreational. Off course the weather really held up this weekend as it was gorgeous and sunny.
Next stop was Krause Berry Farms. I had heard about Krause Berry Farms through social media and friends. Curiousity got the better of me and I looked it up over the internet. What was so special about this farm was that it had a bakery, market, music stand and a winery situated in it. The winery offers fruit wines as well as dessert wines. Krause also had a baking facility which gave the public a glimpse of the baking in process. Once done, the baked items where then sent to the market where customers can order it. The waffles were the stars; they were best served warm with fresh berries, which were the mainstay, and whipped cream. Mmmmmm…..Melt in your mouth goodness. Enticed by the delicious looking photos posted by friends over facebook, I decided to give it a try. Wow…true to their words, the farm was amazing. It had a rustic look and feel to it. There was a flower patch for all to enjoy while enjoying a relaxing stroll in the farm.
This weekend also happened to be the Celebration of 125 birthday of Stanley Park thus I have taken a photo of this event. Thousands gathered at the park to enjoy the festivities, sports and music that took place. To remember this spectacular weekend I’ve taken photographs to remember by and share. Enjoy!!!
