Boy ohhh boy, long weekend and what could be better than enjoying it in the warm sunny weather. This weekend I decided to venture down to Seattle again. My relative’s birthday was coming up hence I decided to visit her to wish her well. Yeah, I am a family person eventhough I don’t always show it. I quite enjoyed my trip down there as I got to explore more of the city.
I have been to Seattle numerous times before but not to the extent over this past year. Case and point, I never been to Pike Street Market, I know, surprising isn’t it. Most of the time when we went, it was a one day tripper as we did not stay overnight. Lately with the overnight stays, I got to see the city a bit more to appreciate it. As always, I hit the Pike Street Market and downtown. The market, just down the hill from city centre, was a cool place with little boutiques, and specialty stores. With the warmer weather, it attracted swarms of people who just went there to relax, sip some good coffee, savour some fresh baked bread, enjoy delicious pastries, buy beautiful flowers, and venture down to the gum wall. Well that was exactly what I did ha ha :). Blessed were we when the weather cooperates and boy did it.
Here are a few of the photos I took from the trip that shows Seattle on a Easter Weekend.
This was one of my favourite places to go, Le Panier, recommended by a cousin, they have the best palmiers, so light and sweet. A favourite of my aunt and Seattleites as there was always a line up for good pastry and bread.
Seattle was a trendy city on its own way from the little cafes, bars, specialty stores and art. Family and friends were important as well as I enjoy spending time with them.
On my trip down, I also found out also I had some followers of my blog in Seattle and Vancouver thank you for your support. Cheers all to all on enjoying a beautiful weekend.
